Now the intrepid editors at What’s the Mashup have demonstrated that just about any cinematic dance scene can be set to the relentlessly catchy pop song. In a new five-minute montage, they’ve compiled clips of people dancing from 100 different movies and spliced them together with the magic of “Uptown Funk.”
The usual suspects are all there — John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, Jennifer Beals in Flashdance, Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing — but the best parts are the unexpected ones, like Jean-Claude Van Damme and Nicolas Cage in cameos better left unspoiled.
