Amid the D23 Expo’s announcements of the Episode IX director (it’s Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow), the cast of Rogue One, and new Star Wars theme park attractions, John Boyega shared the first poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The actor, who plays Finn in the film directed by J.J. Abrams, took over the Walt Disney Studios’ Snapchat account for the occasion. One of his updates was about the brand new Force Awakens one-sheet created by Drew Struzan exclusively for the D23 crowd. The artist was responsible for the posters for the original Star Wars movies, and for the new film he featured a lightsaber-wielding Finn, Daisy Ridley’s Rey, Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, and Harrison Ford’s Han Solo.
Those in attendance at Disney’s live-action films panel were able to snag a copy of their own, but everyone else will have to live vicariously through Boyega. Check out the poster in the video (and Instagram) below.
