Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted over the weekend that Kaya Scodelario of The Maze Runner and Skins has been enlisted for the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Scodelario joins The Giver‘s Brenton Thwaites as new blood added to the franchise, while Johnny Depp will once again play Captain Jack Sparrow. Javier Bardem has been in talks to play a villain in the movie.

Thwaites told The Mirror that the film, subtitled Dead Men Tell No Tales, is “about a young man who wants to reconnect with his father, Davy Jones.” The film, which will be directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, is set for a July 7, 2017 release date.
Disney told EW there was no further information on Scodelario’s character at this point.
