Maze Runner director shares smoldering new poster for The Scorch Trials

Maze Runner director Wes Ball recently revealed a brand new international poster for The Scorch Trials, and it is smoking hot — literally.

“Love this French poster for #scorch,” he tweeted along with the new one-sheet. The image shows a map of the maze going up in flames as a lone runner — presumably Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) — bolts out into the world beyond.

As we already saw in the trailers for the film, the struggles of the Gladers are far from over. After successfully making it out of the maze, Thomas, Teresa, Minho, and the other survivors search for clues about WCKD through the Scorch, a desolate wasteland filled with horrific obstacles.

Returning actors O’Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Kaya Scodelario are joined by franchise newcomers like Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad, and Aidan Gillen and Nathalie Emmanuel of Game of Thrones.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials will hit U.S. theaters on Sept. 18 and French theaters Oct. 7. Take a look at the smoldering poster below.
