Bryan Singer has introduced new mutants and walked through a destroyed Cairo in his X-Men: Apocalypse Instagram updates, and how he’s showing fans another behind-the-scenes photo from the film.
The latest one, posted Friday, shows Patrick Stewart visiting the set. Pictured with him is another visitor, director Jason Reitman.
Singer wrote that he and Stewart, who has played Charles Xavier in four of the X-Men films, were “reminiscing about our own #daysoffuturepast” and looking forward to seeing X-Men star Michael Fassbender participate in the live reading of The Big Lebowski Friday at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
Trying to look intensely thoughtful, @sirpatstew and #jasonreitman visiting #xmen #apocalypse #xmenapocalypse set and reminiscing about our own #daysoffuturepast. Looking forward to “jasonreitmanlivereading tonight of #biglebowski with #michaelfassbender as “The Dude!”
Stewart has previously said he and Ian McKellen won’t be back for the 1983-set Apocalypse, but this photo is bound to get some fans wondering if his Professor X might be making a cameo after all.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016. For more on the film, check out EW’s recent cover story.
