Renée Zellweger is back for Bridget Jones’s Baby, and according to the Oscar-winning actress, filming for the upcoming film has been a “nice reunion with old friends.”
While attending this year’s LA County Walk to Defeat ALS on behalf of Nanci Ryder’s Team Nanci, Zellweger told People that fans often stop her on the street to ask about the beloved character – even though it has been 11 years since the last film, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, was released.
“It’s such a treat to have the opportunity to revisit it,” the actress said.
Zellweger will be joined by costar Colin Firth, who played her love interest, Mr. Darcy, in the two previous films, as well as Patrick Dempsey, who teased his involvement in the film on Instagram earlier this year.
Bridget Jones’s Baby is expected to arrive in theaters Sept. 16, 2016. To read more on the interview with Zellweger, head on over to People.
