Before Ryan Reynolds and Conan O’Brien treated Conan viewers to the official premiere of the Deadpool red band trailer — which you watch/rewatch here — the pair treated everyone to another clip they won’t soon forget.
Reynolds starts by sharing his character’s backstory, but O’Brien cuts him off and informs the audience he’s already very familiar with him. “You don’t have to explain to me who Deadpool is,” he says, “because that guy once saved my life.”
The show then cut to a video of O’Brien getting a massage from the costumed Merc with a Mouth, who rubs him down with panda tears and questions where the host’s posterior is. Lifesaving, indeed.
