Steve Carell joins Woody Allen’s next movie, replacing Bruce Willis

Steve Carell has joined the cast of Woody Allen’s yet-to-be-titled next movie, replacing Bruce Willis, who departed the project earlier this week.

A representative for Carell confirmed the Foxcatcher and 40-Year-Old Virgin star’s involvement in the ensemble film, which is currently in production.

Carell, who previously worked with Allen on the writer-director’s 2004 comedy-drama Melinda and Melinda, joins Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Jeannie Berlin, Corey Stoll and Ken Stott in the new film.

As is usually the case with Allen’s movies, plot details have not been revealed. The film does not yet have a release date or distributor.
