Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible 5’ Christmas release moved to July

Mission: Impossible 5 has been pushed up from from a Christmas 2015 release date to a July 31 opening.

Paramount announced Monday its plans to shift the release of the next installment of the Tom Cruise franchise to the summer, and give its previous Christmas Day release to the animated film Monster Trucks.

The fourth film in the series, Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol, was released on Dec 15, 2011.
